Blason has no advertising and no audience measurement, and no account is needed to play. A game against the bots is played entirely in your browser: the map, the bots and every move are computed on your machine, and nothing of it is sent to our server. The home asks our relay for the next public game while the page is visible, and the relay sees your IP address as with any connection. A game online goes through this relay, which receives your orders and your lord’s name and passes them to the other players of the room. Creating a game opens a room on it while you set the game up, even if you end up playing alone. The relay keeps nothing once the game is over.

This site keeps in your browser your lord’s name, drawn at random on your first visit, your sound settings (the volumes, the mute), which first-game guides you went through, the maps of the Earth once made, so that they load sooner the next time, the last one you played and, if you choose one in the settings, your language, in a cookie of its own. Nothing of it leaves your browser but the language, read by our server to serve the page in it, and your lord’s name and a random word drawn by your browser, sent to the relay when you create, join or play a game online: the word only lets a host keep out a player he expelled, and gives you back your seat if you return within 2 minutes to a game you left. The relay forgets it with the room. Otherwise the language follows the one your browser asks for. For the length of a tab, it also notes that a page reloaded itself for a new version of the site. To sit at a table, your browser tells the relay which version of the game it plays.

The home connects to our backend, Convex (Convex, Inc.), whose servers are in the European Union (Ireland), and which sees your IP address as with any connection. Signing in is optional and goes through Google (Google Ireland Ltd) and Convex. Once you sign in, Convex keeps your Google account’s email address, the name and picture Google gives with it, your lord’s name and your settings (the volumes, the mute, the language, the tutorial), so that you find them on all your devices. Your browser keeps the token of your session. Google learns that you signed in to Blason. These data are kept until you ask for their erasure.

Fonts are served by Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd), which receives your IP address when the page loads.

If a page fails, the error message, its trace and the address of the page are sent to our server with your browser’s user agent, so that the failure can be fixed. They are kept in the server logs for a limited time.

Like any web server, the hosting infrastructure logs requests (IP address, user agent) for security and diagnostics, for a limited time.
